Disney World is adding another type of transportation that should be exciting to use and will be something different that will be unique to Disney World.
Permits have been filed and some preliminary construction can be seen already starting. The gondola system will be similar to the ones used at ski resorts. Each gondola will hold 10 guests. The gondola line will go from the back gate of Epcot to Caribbean Beach Resort, Art of Animation Resort and Hollywood Studios.
Hopefully Disney will put many gondolas on the line so that wait time is kept to a minimum and it becomes an efficient form of transportation.

Disney is hoping by adding another mode of transportation that guests will spend less time traveling to their next destination and more time enjoying the Disney Resort.
